Basic Link Building – Interpage Links and Offsite Links and Their Vital Importance


Adding links to your site is really, really important. Did I say that emphatically enough? It’s REALLY important. You want links from high-quality sites to your site. But most importantly, we see the vital importance of interpage links, which are links within your site from one page to another, that act as natural editorial links, taking your reader to valuable content that relates to the subject of your article. Other types of links go offsite, to other relevant source materials for content, again adding value to your article. Links have become the Internet equivalent of siting sources and “footnoting.” You can think about links as they relate to going off of a page to another page, which has value for your article and site. You can also think about building links to your article, either from other authoritative sites or from other highly read pages on your site.
